If you want to be coddled, don’t go to Glacier. The signs warning of wild animals such as bears are not subtle hints of the possibility of danger. There IS a bear or mountain lion in the area and it IS wild and it doesn’t care whether you have lived as long as you have. However, if you want the experience of a lifetime, GO. Go now. If you don’t think you have enough time, money, or energy…you’re wrong. Save and get there. There are few truly wild places left on the earth but here stands Glacier. She is proof that we can leave something alone and appreciate it for its natural beauty. Explaining what this trip meant to us would be an exercise in futility. Honestly, pictures don’t tell a fraction of the story. Just go and see for yourself.
